Hello there, I'm Hiyori! I have experience in tutoring violinists and violists of all ages and skill levels, five years of age to over 90! In giving private lessons, I like to establish a foundation in music theory before anything else. I tailor my lessons to each student's needs and preferences--everyone is different!
I am currently pursuing my bachelor's of music education at the Schwob School of Music. I have taken five years of music theory courses, and I earned a 5 on my AP Music Theory Exam. I also am proficient in sight singing and aural skills. I have played as a co-concertmaster of the Schwob Philharmonic, a member of the Schwob Opera Orchestra, and have tremendous chamber and solo recital experience on stages throughout the East Coast. I love performing, but my passion is teaching students who want to develop their passions and hobbies and make beautiful music. Currently, I am offering violin, viola, and beginning music theory lessons.
